The Herradura house uses only the healthiest and ripest agaves from the plantation, which are cooked in traditional clay ovens before being distilled, as was done more than 100 years ago. Their reposado tequila, aged for 11 months in oak barrels, with only one month left to become aged. This makes it the "oldest" reposado of all tequilas.

The original Reposado. Tequila Herradura introduced the world to Reposado in 1974 and has set the standard ever since. Aged for 11 months, longer than the norm, Reposado has a deep amber color with notes of cooked agave, vanilla and butter. Additional time spent resting in smoked American bench oak barrels creates a smooth, sweet finish with a light touch of spice.
