Tasting Note
Albis is a wine that, when opened in the glass, shows the territory of Pirque: notes of spices, coffee, hints of smoke and black fruits. In the mouth you can feel its elegance, the fineness and length of its friendly tannins. It is a wine that remembers the cold nights of Pirque and the characteristics of a unique place.
Pairing
Ideal with marinated meats such as slow-cooked lamb or beef and aged cheeses. It goes wonderfully with spicy preparations, with mint and even desserts with a good dark chocolate.

Origin: Albis is the result of the union of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère. Its name celebrates the dawn of a new day in viticulture. It represents the union of two hemispheres, the old and the new world, with the precise intention of creating an elegant and seductive wine in the heart of the Maipo Valley.
Climate: The 2020 harvest in Pirque presented special characteristics, with average minimum temperatures lower than normal during the ripening period of the grapes, from November to March. These climatic conditions translated into a season with a more intense thermal oscillation between day and night, resulting in wines of great quality, greater intensity and freshness despite the warm temperatures of this season. The Cabernet Sauvignon plots that make up this wine were harvested the first week of April. It was a year of low production and very good quality of wine. The harvest period was brief, although the Carménère plots, which mature later, were harvested during the month of May.
Vinification: Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère grapes are vinified separately. After a cold maceration for 5 days, once the native yeasts are added, traditional vinification begins with the purpose of exalting the natural concentration and maturity of the grape, expressing all its qualities. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration are carried out in French oak vats for a total period of 20 days. The Cabernet Sauvignon joined the Carménère in December of the same year and was aged in new French oak barrels for a total of 18 months.
