WHISKY

Formerly considered “Water of Life” that revived the dead, Whiskey had its origins in the distillation of malt. Whiskey is an alcoholic beverage of almost unlimited variety, since in the 19th century, the Scots began to mix Malt Whiskey with Grain Whiskey, which opened the doors to different types of Blended and Single Malt Whiskey.

The different types of whiskey are mainly characterized by the years they have remained in the barrel or whether it previously contained port wine, sherry or bourbon.

Single Malt: it is a whiskey made exclusively with malted barley in a single distillery

Vatted malt: it is a mixture of whiskeys from different distilleries, but only malt.

Grain whiskey: made from unmalted barley, corn and other types of cereals, malting is also possible.

Blended whiskey or mixed whiskey: it is a mixture of the previous two. With the proliferation of distillation columns, some merchants in Scotland began blending their younger, stronger single malt whiskeys with mild grain whiskeys (usually corn) to obtain a product of acceptable quality at a more affordable price.
RUM

Rum is a spirit drink produced exclusively from alcoholic fermentation and distillation, either from molasses or syrups from the production of cane sugar, or from the sugar cane juice itself, and distilled to less than 96% vol. so that the distillation product perceptibly presents the specific organoleptic characteristics of rum.

TEQUILA

Tequila is an alcoholic beverage obtained from distillation, originating in Tequila, in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.

The purity of a tequila consists of being made entirely from agave. When a tequila does not indicate on its label that it is one hundred percent agave, it is a mixed tequila. This means that a proportion of the sugar obtained from the agave was mixed with other sugars during its production.

According to the characteristics acquired in post-distillation processes, tequila is classified into one of the following classes:

· Joven or Gold,

· Reposado,

· Aged,

· Extra aged,

· Reserve.

· Crystalline Aged.
