Tasting Notes
Deep, almost black in color with violet hues. It has a complex and elegant nose, with black fruit (blackberry, cherry) and red fruit (plum), spices (white pepper and vanilla from the wood) and floral notes (violet) and mineral notes.
Intense and vibrant on the palate, it has a great harmony between its natural freshness, good volume, and firm tannins that give the wine a lot of life.

This extreme-altitude Single Vineyards is a tribute to all those who dare to embark on the path of adventure and do what has never been achieved before. That's what Donald and Ursula Hess did when they planted "El Arenal," their first vineyard, at an incredible 2,600 meters above sea level in the upper Calchaquí Valley.
Its name aptly describes its unique terroir, where the grapes ripen under the intense sun and are refreshed by the cold nights. The grapes are grown with care for the environment, and when combined with the magic of "El Arenal," they create an incredibly sophisticated tannin structure, resulting in a perfect balance of fruit, freshness, strength, complexity, and elegance that only this extreme altitude can offer.
"El Arenal" is the result of the dedication, patience, and indomitable spirit of innovation of Bodega Colomé. Pioneers in the cultivation and production of wines at extreme altitudes.
