TASTING STAGES
VISUAL: An intense color and a deep layer of purplish tones with a light cherry rim are evident.
NOSE: Aromas of acidic black fruit, morello cherry, blackberry, and currant, among riper black fruit such as blackberry, in harmony with complex aging tones, spices of clove and black pepper, fine wood, fine roasted notes, licorice, and dark cocoa, with a mineral touch. Good structure with an intense backbone of sweet tannins.
PATELLA: A wine with excellent complexity of flavors is appreciated, with ripe black fruit, balsamic sensations of aromatic plants, roasted notes of new oak, sweet lactones, and spicy notes of pepper and licorice. A velvety, long, and very elegant finish.

Matarromera Prestigio was born with a threefold objective: to produce a unique, special, and distinctive wine that reflects its magnificent vineyards in Valbuena de Duero; to break with the rules of wine aging (Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva, etc.); and to satisfy the creative desire of its creator.
In this sense, it is only produced in vintages that are considered excellent. Although it is a wine that follows its own rules, its philosophy is based on aging for nine months in French oak barrels and nine months in American oak barrels. It then rests for two years in the bottle.
Matarromera Prestigio is the conception of grapes from Matarromera's emblematic terroir, "Pago de las Solanas." Its excellent sunlight and location in a peculiar narrowing of the Duero Valley, which concentrates convection winds every day, make this plot unique.
The enormous quality and uniqueness of its grapes and the care with which they are harvested are, by now, taken for granted.
