The Macallan Double Cask whiskeys are aged in two types of oak, in specially selected artisanal casks seasoned with Oloroso dry sherry.
American oak imparts delicate flavors of vanilla, citrus and caramel.
European oak offers the unmistakable subtle flavor of The Macallan.
Once matured, two exceptional whiskeys come together to create a distinctive single malt with a sweeter, warmer flavor and character.

TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: Amber honey.
NOSE: Nuts, ginger and caramel. Intense orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.
PALATE: Sultana raisin with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by woody spices and tangy citrus.
FINISH: Warm oak spice with ginger, giving way to sweet orange.
