Don Melchor, Cabernet Sauvignon is aged: 15 months in French oak barrels (71% new and 29% second use). Aging potential: Over 35 years. It is a tasty wine, with a soft attack, then showing great freshness, along with the elegance and power characteristic of Puente Alto. It is a wine with a velvety texture, lush body, and a very long and persistent finish.
And in this Combo it is accompanied by a bottle of Almaviva, also from the Concha y Toro winery; Almaviva captivates with its deep ruby red and its fresh, elegant and complex nose. An alliance of ripe fruit and subtle floral aromas initially dominates, before giving way to notes of violet, licorice, ink and graphite. Aging in barrels: 20 Months in new French oak barrels.
